Cabos Beach & Golf Resort
opened its doors February 4, 2008, to enthusiastic applause from
guests, travel writers and agents, meeting planners and other
visitors. Its oceanfront setting is absolutely spectacular: on the
sparkling blue-green Sea of Cortez at the southern tip of Baja
California Sur. Each of the hotel's 375 emphatically upscale suites
and rooms looks out on this buena vista, as do its superb
restaurants, hospitable bars and expansive pool patio. There's also

First impressions are important.
Often they set the tone for whatever follows. Step into the
alfresco main foyer of the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, and your first
impressions are promising, to say the least: a circular reflecting pool,
reception desk with façade of meticulously inlaid hardwood, polished marble
floors and graceful columns. Then, a few paces away, the spacious, tastefully
appointed Lobby Bar opening onto a wide terrace. And beyond the terrace: the
resort’s splendid swimming pool, its expansive beach and the spectacular Sea of
Cortez.
 Ah,
the sea—an enormous jewel shimmering with shifting shades of green, from
light to medium, merging into aquamarine laced with patches of turquoise, then
giving way to even darker blue-greens and, ultimately, the gently curving
horizon as sharp as an engraver’s line. It’s the dramatic focal point of myriad
Hilton Los Cabos vistas: from long, column-lined hallways, the Lobby Bar,
restaurant terrace, pool area, various patios and from every single guestroom,
